Located in the small, quiet town of Bass, Victoria, this 3 room Bed & Breakfast offers private, peaceful accommodation, giving you the opportunity to escape the hustle & bustle, and just relax & enjoy all that the Bass Coast has to offer.

As new owners in 2019, we upgraded the rooms with new furniture and installed small kitchenettes in each room. We also made it our mission to ensure that our cleanliness and our customer service is exemplary, so our guests have nothing but an enjoyable stay with us.

In the town of Bass, you’ll find the Cenotaph just across the road from Chateau Bass, where every year on Anzac Day a dawn service is held to commemorate the men and women from the Bass Valley district who died in WWI, WWII, and later conflicts.

Cross over the historic timber bridge and you walk into the George Bass Memorial Park, where you’ll find a playground, picnic tables and electric BBQ’s for all to enjoy.

With just a short drive (10km) you’ll arrive at the town of San Remo (the gateway to Phillip Island). Here you’ll find an IGA Supermarket for all your supplies, along with Café’s, Restaurants, Bakery, and Pubs for a refreshing drink and a great meal. While there, check out the Pelican feeding at midday, down near the docks.

Walkers and hikers are also in for a treat as the famous George Bass Coastal Walk starts from the Punchbowl in San Remo, through the Bourne Creek Trestle Bridge and the Bass Coast Rail Trail, ending in the ocean-side town of Kilcunda.

Continue over the San Remo Bridge and you’ll find yourself on Phillip Island. The Island offers a plethora of fun, family activities, wildlife parks, shops, café’s, restaurants, and beautiful beaches. The Penguin Parade and the Racetrack are some of the famous attractions to be enjoyed.
